The Girl in the Book

On paper this movie had a lot going for it – good casting, an interesting premise and the promise of a developing story that hinted at some kind of sexual issues.  The beginning was good – I particularly liked the overlaying scenes in the restaurant that showed how her life changed yet didn’t change from her teen years to her adult years.  The end was also pretty good.  The middle?  It was alright.  Overall it was a good movie but there is something that I can’t put my finger on that prevented it from being better.
