When I saw Marriage Story a few years ago, I thought that it may have been the best movie about relationships that I have ever seen. I dare say that this movie is better. This surprised me a bit because of the amount of verbal conflict that exists in this movie – too much can cause a movie to become insufferable (Rogen’s Knocked Up is a great example of this). But this movie is super smart, and the characters are seen in different lights throughout the night. The different dynamics throughout were fascinating – I can’t think of a film quite like it. And beyond all of that… Olivia Wilde did an amazing job directing this film. I would have never thought that I would say that about a movie that is almost totally filmed in an apartment, but her decisions on camera placement, closeups, music, etc, were fantastic.

My Review
When I saw Marriage Story a few years ago, I thought that it may have been the best movie about relationships that I have ever seen. I dare say that this movie is better. This surprised me a bit because of the amount of verbal conflict that exists in this movie – too much can cause a movie to become insufferable (Rogen’s Knocked Up is a great example of this).
