In this genre of films, there is rarely a new idea.  The success of these paint-by-numbers films often comes down to how well the film can deliver heartfelt moments that don’t feel contrived.  In other words, does it not look like it belongs on a Saturday afternoon on the lifetime channel.  Fortunately, the cast in this film is very good and the film does rise above that low bar.   I have to admit that I enjoyed it (Connie Britton should have been a bigger star).
