Tony
"I was — to be frank — a spoiled, miserable, narcissistic, self-destructive and thoughtless young lout, and badly in need of a good ass-kicking."
Overview
A 19-year-old Anthony Bourdain travels to Provincetown and stumbles into the chaotic world of a restaurant kitchen, setting off a summer that will shape the course of his life.
I think a lot of people get tripped up over the fact that this isn’t a really a historical account of that time in Bourdain’s life. It is very much “the essence of Tony”, which if you think about it for a minute, makes complete sense. His time there spanned three summers – would the audience really need to see all of that? Of course not. If you get past that, this is a pretty decent movie.
