One of these days I am going to start a “This is why I watch (indie) movies” list and this film will be on it. It has to be so difficult to try to find a new angle on love and relationships – Duplass certainly found one. In a way it reminded me of Blue Valentine in how it grabs you at certain points (although that was a much different love story). Another item that makes this film so unique is how funny it is in the middle.

As an armchair director I tend to spend more time than I should trying to figure out where the movie is going to end up. About halfway through the film I did something I have a hard time doing – I just kind of gave in and trusted the film. I am certainly glad that I did.
