Overview

Julie is haunted by her grief after living through a tragic auto wreck that claimed the life of her composer husband and young daughter. While Binoche is excellent (as she always is) in a very understate role I believe the real magic in this film is the way that the story is told.  The director gives you just a little bit at a time and unravels the story in a very measured way.   I can’t wait to see the rest of the trilogy (edit:  White and Blue).

My Review

While Binoche is excellent (as she always is) in a very understate role I believe the real magic in this film is the way that the story is told.  The director gives you just a little bit at a time and unravels the story in a very measured way.   I can’t wait to see the rest of the trilogy (edit:  White and Blue).
