This movie was a refreshing change from the POS “The Blind Side”. This movie was everything that TBS wasn’t – gritty, honest and not apologetic. It was a low-level view of homelessness, mental illness and the struggles that we have with these issues. While it was obviously moving at times it never seemed to set out to artificially pull at your heart strings. That said, there wasn’t anything necessarily extraordinary about it either. I don’t think it would quite measure up with Rain Man or The Fisher King.
