Overview
A wife questions her life choices as she travels to Stockholm with her husband, where he is slated to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature.
This film is a slow and beautiful burn. In the opening scenes you can sense that there is a conflict that is probably neither new nor mild. During the next 100 minutes you see Glenn Close in an all-time great performance. It’s a shame that there aren’t more scripts this good matched with capable actors. One of the year’s best.
