Overview
A father and daughter live a perfect but mysterious existence in Forest Park, a beautiful nature reserve near Portland, Oregon, rarely making contact with the world. But when a small mistake tips them off to authorities, they are sent on an increasingly erratic journey in search of a place to call their own.
What starts out as a father and daughter trying to find a place to call home turns into something much, much different. The acting is fantastic and the result is emotional. The final scenes were fantastic. The film reminded me of Winter’s Bone on several different levels. Both films were grim tales and starred a young actress that seemed destined for stardom.
