I am not going to lie – I thoroughly enjoyed this movie (with the exception of Cher, who was downright awful).  I can’t believe that I just typed it.  Last week I saw Life Itself and I came away with the similar feeling that sometimes a movie has enough heart and that carries the day.  It reminded me a bit of Godfather 2 in that it extensively used flashbacks (and like Godfather 2 the flashbacks were the better part of the film).  Much better than the cheesy original.  See it in 4k if you can.
