Overview
Set against the backdrop of a decaying Midwestern town, a murder becomes the focal point of three people who work in a doll factory.
I really like the chance that Soderbergh takes in this movie. He creates a simple backdrop of a group of people with no hope in a town set in the middle of nowhere. He then crafts a more traditional story but the key is that this story only works because of his use of real people as actors in the movie. It doesn’t reach the heights of similar movies such as The Rider but it was well worth the time if you like character studies.
