New parents Adrienne and Matteo are forced to reckon with trauma amidst their troubled relationship. They must revisit the memories of their past and unravel haunting truths in order to face their uncertain future.
It’s rare to find a unique way to tell a story but I think this movie was able to check that box. I have to admit to being partial to movies that contrast the past with the present (Blue Valentine being my favorite example) – this film managed to tell both in the same scene. Without saying too much there is a pending resolution that was hanging over this film and I worried that it might cheapen the overall theme of the movie. When it finally did come it was done in such a way that it did not take away from the movie’s excellent final act.

My Review
