Overview
A portrait of the lives of a disparate group of patrons and employees at an American watering hole today.
I think what is funny is that there is one (or many) of these bars in every town. I instantly recognized every one of the characters in the bar – the affable bartender, the 60-something drunks that like to yammer on about philosophy and how the newer generations are failing…. the list goes on and on. There is a poignant moment towards the end where the elder drunk tries to be the ghost of Christmas future for one of the younger drunks – you could tell it was going in one ear and out the other. I don’t know if it was sad that the bar was going or sad to see so many people without hope.
