During the first part of the film I was worried that the movie was a commercial for the Olympics masquerading as a potential love story.  On the surface I don’t know if all viewers will really have an appreciation for what the story is going for.  While I’ve never been an Olympian I have been to conferences where you are staying completely on a campus.  There is an interesting dynamic that happens that is difficult to describe.  It isn’t really a vacation…. it’s more like you have gone to a different planet.  While I’ve never had the potential for romance in this area I can see how being away in this kind of bubble would cause you to see your own life and struggles in a different way.  I can also see how it would magnify said struggles as there can easily be feelings of isolation and loneliness even though you are surrounded by so many people.  Through that lens I enjoyed the film, particularly the way it was left (even if it did get bogged down near the end).
