The fact that this film is watchable and even on some level enjoyable is a testament to the perfectly understated performances of Fiennes and Mulligan.   Think about it – the movie is about an archeological dig where there really is no “a-ha” moment.

The fact that this film is watchable and even on some level enjoyable is a testament to the perfectly understated performances of Fiennes and Mulligan.   Think about it – the movie is about an archeological dig where there really is no “a-ha” moment.
