Over the years I’ve come to realize that there are usually two things that will give an indication if an indie movie has a chance at being decent. The first is sound – I can’t tell you how many times I watched a movie and five minutes in the sound quality drove me crazy. The second is production. Even a little bit of production goes a long way towards making the movie feel worthwhile.
While still very much an indie film (most of the cast never did another movie) this movie had another intrigue and charm (and sound and production) to carry the day.
