Overview
An 11-year-old girl watches her father come down with a crippling depression. Over one summer, she learns answers to several mysteries and comes to terms with love and loss.
I thought that this movie (if you can find it) was an incredibly sweet drama. I think that what really stood out was the empathy that Joan Allen’s character had for her husband. So many of us are struggling and trying to find our way – sometimes it just takes a spark to make someone’s life a little bit better. The film is extremely well-acted and I am a better person for having seen it.
