Overview
When the manager of an Italian restaurant chain wins the opportunity to attend the franchise’s educational immersion program in Italy, what she thought would be a romantic getaway devolves into chaos and catastrophe.
It’s tough to say what exactly I liked so much about this movie. For the first act it felt very much like a paint-by-numbers travel comedy. While Alison Brie is great (as she always is) I think the introduction of Aubrey Plaza into the movie is what really gets it moving. Both Brie and Plaza have done some fantastic indie movies in the last decade and their chemistry is fantastic. I really didn’t know how the last act was going to go – I thought they did a great job with it. The movie felt extremely authentic.
