Overview
The remarkable true story of how retiree Jerry Selbee discovers a mathematical loophole in the Massachusetts lottery and, with the help of his wife, Marge, wins $27 million dollars and uses the money to revive their small Michigan town.
If you are looking for a sweet, safe movie with a warm feel to it, you could certainly do worse than this movie. On the surface, this movie is about the lottery and a little bit of math (as a data scientist, I found the latter interesting but I know that I am in the minority). But the real movie is about personal relationships, and the movie (mostly ) does a good job and portraying this theme without beating the viewer over the head with it. I could have watched Cranston and Bening all day long.
