Overview
During World War II, the British Army assigns a group of competent soldiers to carry out a mission against the Nazi forces behind enemy lines... A true story about a secret British WWII organization – the Special Operations Executive. Founded by Winston Churchill, their irregular warfare against the Germans helped to change the course of the war, and gave birth to modern black operations.
At this point, Ritchie could probably start creating Guy Ritchie franchises. This movie – for better or worse – is a Guy Ritchie movie. The problem I have is that it feels like his movies are now paint-by-numbers. The part about the movie being based on a true story gives it a little bit of a different perspective, but if you take that out, you’ve seen this movie before. It is generally entertaining, and forgotten by the time the credits finish rolling. The comedy, plot and fight scenes have become very formulaic.
