Overview
Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.
I would say that it is shocking how many people miss the point of the film. No, it isn’t a horror movie or anything like that. It is largely metaphorical, and it tells an excellent story about the Jim Crow South in the early 20th century. While some parts of the movie were a little hard to watch because it drifted into a genre that can be displeasing to me, I thought that the film was wonderfully constructed and it told a powerful story. The acting and the music were also fantastic.
