One of the struggles that comes with reviewing movies is how to balance serious and important subjects while grading a film on its entertainment value.  This film does a fantastic job demonstrating how difficult it must be to have a child that is an addict without making it feel like an after-school special.   The problem is that the movie just isn’t that compelling, and it pains me to write that given the importance of the subject matter and the quality of the acting.
