My issue with this movie might be specific to me. I am a huge Rose Byrne fan and she is absolutely nails in this movie. But for much of the movie, I wondered if the story was about mental illness as it seems like she was imagining a lot of what was going on. Towards the end the bigger theme became apparent to me. I felt that the best decision that the director made was to not show the kid for most of the movie as it was really powerful to have the camera focusing on just her.
