While I am not French and therefore probably did not get a lot of the references in the movie, I thought that the idea of contrasting two different stories set decades apart in the same location was an interesting one.  I did struggle a bit with one of the main premises – if I found something out about my ancestors that lived a century ago, it wouldn’t change who I am .  I wouldn’t be learning anything new about myself.  That said, I enjoyed the film.

My Review
