A teenage loner pushes his way into the underworld of a high school crime ring to investigate the disappearance of his ex-girlfriend.
I think I understand what they were going for with the film noir – it just didn’t work for me on any level. I spent half the movie wondering if it was really a spoof as it was so distracting to see high schoolers having dialog and confidence that they would not normally have (think Chinatown set in high school). Mix in a ton of overly-dramatic backing music and I fell asleep two thirds of the way through this long-winded movie.
