From Dusk Till Dawn
One night is all that stands between them and freedom. But it's going to be a hell of a night.
Overview
Seth Gecko and his younger brother Richard are on the run after a bloody bank robbery in Texas. They escape across the border into Mexico and will be home-free the next morning, when they pay off the local kingpin. They just have to survive 'from dusk till dawn' at the rendezvous point, which turns out to be a Hell of a strip joint.
This one was a weird one for me. I had enjoyed the first movie in the trilogy (Desperado) and I was thoroughly enjoying the first half of the movie when everything was flipped upside down. The film changed from a very good suspense flic to a horror film. I had no idea this was coming but I nearly fell off the couch when it did. While I am not a fan of that genre I thought it was extremely well done. Regardless of the genre I thought the film was extremely well-directed and well-acted. George Clooney was fantastic – why can’t this guy get better roles?
