I think this film may be Tarantino at his best. The great thing about this film is that it takes the audience and puts them into a myserious and colorful world that Tarantino has created for us. For years I had kept this movie in the middle of my to-watch list because I thought that it was merely a wannabe Bruce Lee movie. Not so. Tarantino, not unlike the Coen brotheers, is the kind of moviemaker that makes the movie that he wants to see and isn’t interested if you like it or not.
