Overview
Simon has Asperger's syndrome and doesn't like changes in his life. He lives with his big brother Sam and Sam's girlfriend Frida. When Frida can't stand having to adapt to Simon's peculiarities anymore she takes off, leaving Simon with having to find a new, perfect, girlfriend for his brother.
On my review site I sometimes tag movies as “best” and/or “favorite”. The two might seem the same but they are often very different. Was this film the best that I’ve ever seen? Of course not. But I would rank it as one of my favorites of this year. We’ve seen several movies in this genre and I can’t recall one that does it as well as this one does. Rather than focus on the disease that the boy has the movie turns and looks at the entire perspective from a different angle. At different points it is hilarious, charming and witty. I didn’t want it to end and that is the sign of a favorite movie.
