Overview
Lisa Conroy is general manager at a highway-side 'sports bar with curves', Double Whammies. She nurtures and protects her employees fiercely - but over the course of one trying day, her optimism is battered from every direction... Double Whammies sells a big, weird American fantasy, but what happens when reality pokes a bunch of holes in it?
This movie had a little bit more than what it might appear on the surface. But make no mistake about it – Regina Hall makes this film better than it probably had any right to be. She did a fantastic job playing a character who displayed grace and strength while everything was falling down around her. Conversely I can’t imagine why Haley Lu Richardson took a role that was so empty. Conversely I can’t imagine why Haley Lu Richardson took a role that was so empty. It was odd seeing her in this film after the amazing job she did in Columbus.
