Overview
A beautiful and emotionally damaged bartender plans her death until she takes in a homeless neighbor.
All of us get lost in the darkness
Dreamers learn to steer by the stars
All of us do time in the gutter
Dreamers turn to look at the cars
The Pass by Rush
I’ve seen lots of movies about emotionally damaged people. Some great, some less so. What is so fascinating about this film is that while the lead is really damaged she doesn’t want to be. She still has a tremendous amount of hope and she does indeed metaphorically turn around to look at the cars. Also, it seems as though some of the damage done to her is her social awkwardness. I can relate to a lot of that and at times I just want to sit in the corner and not talk to anyone. But I too am hopeful.
I loved, loved, loved this movie.
