Overview
A loving father grapples with how to protect his daughter-in-law when he discovers that his son is having an affair in a sensitive and searching portrait of a Southern family.
I can’t say that I’ve ever seen a movie quite like this one. I would imagine that it would be dismissed by many as being Hallmark-ish, but I think that would be an inaccurate critique. As a father of three boys and someone that has historically had difficulties with personal relationship, I would give my left arm to have a daughter-in-law like the one in this movie. When she uttered those two words in the final scene, my heart swelled. I completely got it, and I long for it.
