This film takes several themes that are prevalent in romance dramas, adds the backdrop of a warn-torn country, and then puts them all in a blender. I thought the director made fantastic choices in telling the story, particularly the well-placed jumps back to the past to give context to the present. And of course, the two leads have fantastic cheimstry.
