Overview
Three friends are asked to be bridesmaids at a wedding of a woman they used to ridicule back in high school.
The setup is there: we have a bunch of good, young actors set to meet up for a wedding. Ok, the wedding theme has been beaten to pieces but a good script can get around that. The first two thirds of the movie try to reflect the movie’s aspirations of being both a drama and a comedy. Unfortunately it fails miserably at both. We follow the characters around the city as if we are flies on the proverbial wall. They are mostly awful people and they experience some very predictable wedding-themed events. The last third of the movie is dominated by Kirsten Dunst (again, terribly wasted in this schlock) screaming at people. It felt like work just to watch it.
