Overview
Two sisters, two boyfriends, one simple birthday weekend getaway. Or it would have been, if not for the threesome, the love affair, the unexpected arrival of a fiancé, and the ensuing ridiculous dinner role play charade everyone is forced to participate in just to keep from getting caught.
So the setup is simple – one of the main characters is living a lie and not long after the movie starts the other characters pay the price for her lie. In a sense it almost sounds like the premise for a single episode of a sitcom – the lie put the characters in awkward positions and then zany stuff happens and the laugh track tells us to laugh. However, this isn’t a sitcom nor a comedy. Ok, the setup is there… and there isn’t anything beyond it. What as the point?
