Bono: Stories of Surrender
U2's frontman explores life and music in a reimagining of his acclaimed stage show.
Overview
Through words, music, and mischief, Bono pulls back the curtain on his deeply personal experiences that have shaped him as a son, father, husband, activist, and U2 frontman.
The critiques of this film are hilarious. “He is self-indulgent”, they say. So you watch a show that is centered around stories from someone’s life, and you’re upset that the stories are about their life? That is like going to the beach and complaining that the water is wet. I very much enjoyed his memoir and I think that this show was a great extension of that. It was a nice mix of music (he sounds great), storytelling and humility.
