This film is ultimately about not losing the sweetness and innocence of how we viewed videos from our childhood.   If you watch the movie from that perspective, this is a very sweet and enjoyable ride.  If not, you’re probably going to be in for a miserable time.  I really enjoyed the film and it gave me a reminder to try to be a kid more often.  Casting Mark Hamill must have been a nod to that spirit.
