This movie is about a man who is just entering adulthood and is trying to figure it all out. He meets an older woman who has a special child and… well, yeah, we’ve seen this setup before. None of this material is fresh. However, the movie still works because of the heart and chemistry of the actors. The movie reminded me a lot of one of Johnson’s other works (the fantastic Peanut Butter Falcon). It isn’t without flaws but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Is Cooper Raif the next Tom Hanks?
