On the surface this film had a nice start to it.  There is a good-looking man driving down a scenic road in a sharp car.  Not long after this a quirky attractive woman arrives on the scene with a story that she won’t share.   And a road trip!  That’s a lot of cash in the bank to start with.  From there we start to see some cracks.  First, the male lead is awful.   I mean he is really, he is very…. wooden?  I thought the female lead was the same at first but I think her accent affected some of her delivery.  They weren’t helped any by the script – it just seemed difficult to have a flowing dialog and often they seemed to re-has things that they had already talked about.

There are some good things to say about the movie.  While the acting may have been second-rate the scenery and look of the film is not.  Also, there did seem to be real chemistry between the leads and that held my attention.  I felt that the final scenes were among there best.  In a genre that has been beaten to death I thought they came up with a unique ending.
