It probably doesn’t need to be said, but the acting is phenomenal.   I mean, has Fiennes ever been better?   While the movie has a backdrop of Catholics electing a new priest, this movie is really a commentary on modern society and the different social and political viewpoints that dominate the world today.  From that perspective, the movie is extremely well done.  I think it lost a little bit of steam towards the end (I liked the setup better), I enjoyed it.
