Overview
In May of 2020, a standoff between a small-town sheriff and mayor sparks a powder keg as neighbor is pitted against neighbor in Eddington, New Mexico.
First and foremost, I can’t believe that anyone had the sack to make this movie. After all, it touches a deep nerve in this country and across the world. We are so politicized now, and this movie is not at all concerned with that fact. It does a great job at portraying the different struggles that we all went through during covid. Also, this movie belongs to Phoenix, and he has never been better. That said… it isn’t a great watch. Part of that is to be expected – it is designed to make us uncomfortable. It really is unlike another movie that I can think of. I am glad I watched it, but I didn’t have a great time doing it.
