Flipped

At first I thought this movie might be a takeoff on something like the Wonder Years.  It starts innocently enough – a boy is recounting some recent events in his life.  Or at least, how he perceived these events.  It turns out that a girl has been tormenting him since the day that he moved into his current neighborhood.  From there the movie slowly builds into something really beautiful in a way that I was not expecting.  I think in the end it does a fine job showing the difference between the dreamers and the ones that want to extinguish dreams.
