Fourth of July

The film starts a little slow but picks up steam somewhere near the middle.  It has a bit of a unique feel in that many of the starts are comedians – for that most part, this works (the notable exception is Nick Di Paolo.  Can he ever not be Nick Di Paolo in a movie?).  Joe List is the emotional center of the movie and he does a very credible job.  I wasn’t terribly impressed with the movie until the last few minutes.  I thought it did a fantastic job and portraying people trying to find a middle ground for forgiveness.  Even better, the forgiveness (and the acceptance) is unspoken.
