Overview
Clinging to the reputation of his one hit novel, writer Guy Laury accepts a winter residency on a reclusive island whose residents seem friendly at first. The discovery of a lost manuscript and its possible ties to a longstanding local murder case, however, throw into question the intentions of everyone around him.
This is one of those movies that is really hard to review because of what a moving target it is. I absolutely love that people make movies like this, but at times it felt really inaccessible to the viewer. I think I know what it all meant, but it was still an awkward and confusing watch. The acting is fantastic.
