Overview
Eve is a catastrophe—low on self-esteem but high on fantasy, especially when it comes to music. Over the course of one Glasgow summer, she meets two similarly rootless souls: posh Cass and fastidious James, and together they form a group.
I stumbled across this movie on one of the “best indie movies that you’ve never seen” list. It’s a charming and engaging little movie filled with some pretty good music and a good story. While I enjoyed my time watching it I do have to agree with one of the reviews that I read after the fact. The film did feel a bit thin but that might be par for the course in a musical. While Emily Browning did an amazing job with her songs I couldn’t help but think that they could have done better with the other female lead. Both her songs and her character were forgettable.
