This movie works better than it probably should for one reason only: the chemistry between the two leads is just undeniable. But it is also subtle – the story doesn’t beat you over the head with it. It is just a very sweet and easy-to-watch movie. There is one thing that struck me about this movie: the secondary characters were more than cliches. Whenever there is a rom-com like this you invariably get the wacky best friend that is the cheesy comic relief. In this movie all of the secondary characters had their moments but they weren’t in cliched best man speeches.
