If this movie works at all, it is because of the chemistry of the leads. If you’re looking to wrap yourself in a somewhat-syrupy movie, this movie will probably work for you. However, everything beyond the main storyline is really mediocre. This movie is best described as a Hallmark movie that happens to have a notable actress at the top of the billing. I was surprised to see that Joss Whedon wrote and directed the film.
