This was easily one of my favorite movies of the year and one of the most original stories that I have seen about relationships. People have criticized it for not being more heavy-handed about some of the themes in the movie. I think what it did was so unique in that it focused on the triumph and the achievement. Blake Lively is an absolutely revelation in the role, and I dare say that her career path is what Kate Hudson’s should have been. It is probably also one of the two movies this year (the other being His Three Daughters) where I gasped out loud during a scene. I loved it.
