I think that this movie is terribly misunderstood.  The film explores the price of fame, and those who gladly choose to pursue it at the cost of… well, the cost will vary from one person to the next.  I think that is what makes Sandler’s character so interesting.  He does have an understanding of what he is missing out on in life, but he keeps going back to the well.   He was in love with his client, and the client was in love with fame.  In that sense, it kind of reminded me of “Love, Actually”, where the aging rock star announced that the love of his life was his manager.  Anyway, I thought the film was excellent and captured exactly what it was going for.
