Overview
Rhode Island State Trooper Charlie Baileygates has a multiple personality disorder. One personality is crazy and aggressive, while the other is more friendly and laid back. Both of these personalities fall in love with the same woman named Irene after Charlie loses his medication.
This movie sucked on so many levels. I know that not every Jim Carrey movie is going to work – I never thought that I would see a movie of his (even one as poorly-reviewed as this movie) where he was actually the worst part of the movie. And I don’t even know that it was his fault – the writing is sooooooo bad. He ended up doing a character that was a hybrid of Clint Eastwood, Ace Ventura and Lego Batman. It’s a shame because the secondary cast (Robert Forster, Chris Cooper, Richard Jenkins, etc) are all excellent actors. The three sons were easily the best part of the movie.

My Review
This movie sucked on so many levels. I know that not every Jim Carrey movie is going to work – I never thought that I would see a movie of his (even one as poorly-reviewed as this movie) where he was actually the worst part of the movie. And I don’t even know that it was his fault – the writing is sooooooo bad. He ended up doing a character that was a hybrid of Clint Eastwood, Ace Ventura and Lego Batman. It’s a shame because the secondary cast (Robert Forster, Chris Cooper, Richard Jenkins, etc) are all excellent actors. The three sons were easily the best part of the movie.
