Overview
Ethan Hunt and team continue their search for the terrifying AI known as the Entity — which has infiltrated intelligence networks all over the globe — with the world's governments and a mysterious ghost from Hunt's past on their trail. Joined by new allies and armed with the means to shut the Entity down for good, Hunt is in a race against time to prevent the world as we know it from changing forever.
This movie should be the gold standard for action movies. There isn’t any wasted dialog and the pacing is excellent, which is necessary in a movie this long. My only complaint about the movie is just how absurd some of the resolutions are. The fate of the world rests on the ability of someone to pull something at the exact millisecond? And Luther – on top of all of his other work – invented a mini supercomputer that is WELL beyond anything that tech companies have to offer? I could go on and on about the gigantic holes in the technical explanations (sorry, I am a data scientist). I think there is a large grain of salt that needs to be taken before watching any action movie – none of these observations stopped me from loving the movie.
